Three Day First Aid at Work

Overview

All UK employers have a legal obligation to provide appropriate First Aid provision for their workforce, and many companies choose to have key staff trained as First Aiders. This course complies with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.

The Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work gives First Aiders the essential knowledge and skills that they need to carry out their role and deal confidently with major and minor injuries and illnesses. It is suitable for any person who has been designated as a First Aider at work.
Assessment is by a series of practical assessments throughout the duration of the course followed by multiple choice examinations at the end of the first day and also the third day. Successful candidates will receive a Qualsafe Awards certificate, valid for three years. Candidates who wish to remain First Aiders must take a two day First Aid Requalification course up to three months before expiration of their certificate, which will re-authorise them for a further three years.
